You know, I can be a pretty deep thinker at times, and there are some questions that weigh heavy on my mind. Here are just a few of them:

  • If olive oil comes from olives, where does baby oil come from?
  • If it’s tourist season, why can’t we just shoot them?
  • Isn’t Disneyworld a people trap, operated by a mouse?
  • Since light travels faster than sound, isn’t that why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?
  • Why do banks charge “insufficient funds fees”, on money they already know you don’t have?
  • Do fish get cramps after eating?
  • Isn’t the best way to save face, to keep the lower part shut?
  • Don’t you think the ocean would be much deeper, if sponges didn’t live there?
  • Why do they call them apartments, when they’re all stuck together?
  • If man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and apes?

These questions, and many more asked by the world today, don’t really have any eternal significance, but there are some questions asked, in God’s word, that do.

  • In Luke 9:20, Jesus asked Peter, “Who do you say that I am.” Peter’s answer, “You are the Christ of God.”
  • In Mark 15:12, Pilate asked the people, “What do you want me to do with Him whom you call the King of the Jews”?   They answered, “Crucify Him.”

What will you do with Jesus?

BACK-PACK Buddies
The Back-pack Buddy program is an outreach project being organized through our Collinsville schools. A back-pack of nutritional foods is sent home on Fridays for students in need over the weekend. FBC will be contributing supplies to the school once a month to help with this project. This a partial list: fruit cups, pudding cups, individual juices, small cans of ravioli, spaghetti Os, soups, meats, crackers, little Debbie snacks, fruit snacks. For a complete list, check your Sunday school classes or pick up one in the office. If you have any questions please contact Marilyn Head.

Children’s church began last month. This is for our 4 to 7 years old children. Children need to sit with their parent/parents. The children will be dismissed when the choir is dismissed. There will be attendants at the back to take the children to the classroom. You may pick up your children following the service, in the 1st & 2nd grade Sunday school classroom. Senior Adults Branson Trip 2018

Our trip this year begins May 8, 2018 and ends May 11, 2018. We can accommodate 28 plus luggage on the bus. We need to have all signups by March 16, 2018 with a $50 per person deposit. We will be staying at the Stone Castle again this year. Luggage will be handled for us at the hotel. Free breakfast each morning as well. Gratuities are included in the package.

The shows we will see are (“IT” Starring the Hughes Brothers, Hot Rods & High Heels, is Branson’s blast back to the fabulous 50’s!, Clay Cooper’s Country Express , Oh Happy Day: Goin' Back to Gospel, Samson, one of the bible’s most fascinating figures), attached to the signup sheet on the office window. It looks like a good collection and a couple of them are new to the group and come with good reviews.

We will have shopping and dinner at the Branson Craft Mall where we shopped and had lunch last year.

One other item of note is that non church members will pay full price and as we have in the past our members will receive a discounted price. Dear Church family,

Thank you so much for your kindness during my recovery. I am grateful for your prayers, cards, delicious food, phone calls and the Wednesday night prayer letters. Still have a way to go in recovery so would ask you for continued prayers for healing. I cannot wait to get back to church to see each and every one of you!

Blessings to all!
